do you ever go into a restaurant or bar and not buy something to eat or drink?
ever go to a movie theatre, buy a ticket, and NOT watch the movie?

ever waited all day, thinking about that cigar after work, then go to the humidor, pick a stick out, and NOT light it up, just sit there and look at it?

it's understood that sometimes nothing hits your fancy, (whatever your fancy is).
